Learning objectives:
Participants will learn about Wounded Warriors Canada’s approach to supporting and working with trauma-exposed professionals, including military veterans, police, firefighters, paramedics, corrections officers, and health care professionals, with specific focus on how to better deal with the impact of receiving traumatic event disclosures as health care professionals. Dr. Black will introduce practical tips for helping health care professionals manage their own responses and long-term impacts of being exposed to potentially disturbing traumatic content.
