Dr. Tim Black is the national clinical director for Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC). Dr. Black joined WWC in January 2024 after spending more 20 years as a tenure-track, then tenured associate professor at the University of Victoria, teaching, conducting research, training graduate students, and developing programs in one of the top counselling psychology graduate training programs in Canada. As a group counselling and PTSD specialist, Dr. Black has co-founded multiple nationally delivered trauma programs for trauma-exposed professionals and trauma-exposed family members across Canada and has worked internationally training trauma clinicians to deliver WWC programs abroad.
