In 2020 and 2021, the results of an independent review of Indigenous-specific racism in B.C.’s healthcare system were released. The In Plain Sight report collected, analyzed, and presented first-of-its-kind evidence of systemic harms disproportionately impacting Indigenous peoples and affecting their health and wellness outcomes. The Executive Director of the review, Harmony Johnson, will provide an overview of the review and reflections on progress over the past five years.
