Aligning Recovery Across B.C.
My Session Status
Across British Columbia, clinicians and claim owners play a critical role in supporting injured workers on their journey toward recovery and safe, timely return to work. Yet expectations around care can vary, provider experiences can differ, and the absence of a unifying provincial approach has led to inconsistencies in how recovery is understood and supported.
WorkSafeBC’s new Clinical Recovery Framework (CRF) seeks to change that.
In this session, Dr. Aamir Bharmal will introduce the CRF. A clear, evidence‑informed framework designed to bring greater consistency, shared language, and stronger alignment across the recovery process. The CRF establishes foundational principles that clarify what effective, focused recovery looks like, ensuring workers receive the right care at the right time.
Dr. Bharmal will also highlight how this collaborative approach is helping ensure that recovery practices across B.C. are consistent, well supported, and grounded in what is known to improve function.
Whether you are a clinician, health system partner, or involved in supporting injured workers, this session will offer valuable insight into how the CRF is shaping a more connected, effective model of care, one that strengthens collaboration and places worker recovery at the centre.
