Learning objective:
To assist the attendee in better diagnosing psychiatric conditions causing chronic pain and other functional somatic syndromes, applying appropriate therapies, and making more accurate prognostications about recovery and return to work.

Hopefully the presentation enables clinicians to envision a more comprehensive psychological and behavioural program in addition to medical and physical and occupational therapy services which will assist in optimizing the care of the majority of chronic pain patients.
