Dan Kovacs

Case Manager
WorkSafeBC
Participates in 1 Session

Dan has been with WorkSafe as a Case Manager in Kamloops for 25 years, having worked as a mediator prior to joining WorkSafe. Dan’s workstyle focuses on establishing and using relationships, networking, and collaboration to achieve meaningful and productive outcomes in claims management. This approach led to Dan being the Case Manager for the pilot Provincial mining team in 2001. The combination of worker and employer feedback from this trial, along with successful return-to-work outcomes, resulted in WorkSafeBC changing its provincial claims assignment practices to an employer aligned model. Dan continues to enjoy the collegiality that comes with his job, involves himself in peer support roles, and enjoys networking with workers, employers and providers. Outside of the office you will find Dan mountain biking, running, skiing, and playing accordion gigs at seniors' homes.
