WorkSafeBC Rate Information Sessions

Join other B.C. employers to learn about WorkSafeBC’s preliminary assessment premium rates for 2026 and how you can reduce your premiums through a safer and healthier workplace.
This year, we’re offering one in-person session at our Richmond office and three virtual sessions that are open for employers across the province to attend.
The sessions will include a presentation focused on the following topics, followed by a live question and answer period:
- The financial state of the workers’ compensation system
- Rate and classification changes
- How you, as an employer, can influence your rates through improved health and safety practices
The sessions are planned for the following dates (all times listed are in Pacific time):
In-person session at WorkSafeBC Richmond office:
- Tuesday, July 15, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Pacific time
The in-person session will include the presentation, Q&A, information booths, and networking opportunities. There are limited spaces for the in-person session. Registration for the in-person session closes at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 7.
Note: All guests must register for the in-person session. You will need to present valid, government-issued ID when signing in on the day and this must match the name you registered with.
Virtual sessions:
- Wednesday, July 16, 10:00–11:30 a.m. Pacific time
- Wednesday, July 16, 1:00–2:30 p.m. Pacific time
- Thursday, July 17, 10:00–11:30 a.m. Pacific time
After you register, we’ll email you a reminder with attendance instructions and the session link (if applicable) before your selected session.
